The Shepherdswell PTA is run by a committee who are all volunteers: we are parents, carers, friends, and community members – just like you! We come together with the focus of supporting the school to help enhance, enrich, and improve learning experiences for all the children. We plan and run several events throughout the school year to raise money for our school and to give the children memorable experiences. We organise bake sales, school discos, break the rules days, and other special events for the children to enjoy.

But that’s not all we do. We also exist to bring school life and home life closer together - because it makes sense for parents to be involved in their child’s life at school. Some of these events include a Christmas fair, a summer fête, and family games nights to name just a few.

But to do all this we need help. Maybe you can come to a meeting and share your ideas, help set up an event, or run a stall. Perhaps you have a skill which could help us run more efficiently.  Even if you are tight on time, many of our volunteering tasks can be done from home. We need people to design posters, wrap presents, organise tombola prizes, and put hampers together. The more people that become involved, the more we can achieve and the easier it will be.
